Thank You

I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who supported United Way's work this year by donating, advocating or volunteering. It has been a trying year for many in our region, but the community also responded in extraordinary ways.  We have seen individuals and companies step up amid the toughest of economies to make sure that children and families in this community do not go without basic needs or quality programs.  We have also been awed by volunteers who signed up in the hundreds to provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in need, lend their skills to help local youth realize their potential, or simply provide a helping hand to resource-strapped nonprofits.  In the coming months, United Way will be working to recognize and thank as many of you as we can.  Until then, please accept my sincere thanks.
