Flash for a Cause
In today’s economy, many community organizations are struggling to meet urgent needs with decreasing resources. United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley is asking everyone to participate in a regional agency drive, collecting and donating items to benefit 60 agencies that are helping improve the lives of children, youth and families every day.
Help to spread the word by being part of United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley's first ever LIVE UNITED flash mob to raise awareness about this issue and the donation drive. Your help today, will strengthen tomorrow!
What does a flash mob entail?
On June 6th at 1:30 pm and again on June 10th, a crowd of volunteers, all wearing Live United T-shirts (provided on the day) will meet at the same location in Boston and stand completely still for several minutes. To the outside viewer we hope this “flash mob” of similarly dressed people frozen in place and holding signs about community needs will stand out as a memorable and unusual spectacle. By grabbing the public’s attention for several minutes, we can help raise awareness about people and agencies in our community who need help.
All it takes is a few minutes... want to get involved? Sign up!
