United (Seg)Way?
I had to post this up here because it's hilarious. Caroline Emerson of (@CarolineEmerson) of United Way of the Jefferson Area in Charlottesville, Virginia told me the other day about their United Way Segway Drill Team, which is creating, I kid you not, a syncronized Segway Routine to raise awareness about Living United in an upcoming parade. For those of you who don't know what a Segway is, definitely see the pictures and video below.
Why I love the video: not only are they synchronized segwaying... They are doing so to the song "Love Train"
If you can't see the video, here are some equally amusing photos:
See more photos and videos on their blog.
- If you can, stop by their blog and wish them luck!
- Do we think my boss will let me go try out for their team?
Happy Friday.

LOVE it!
I wish I could come to Charlottesville to see this. What a creative, fun way to bring awareness to United Way!
Ya'll come down
Ya'll come down to Charlottesville, VA on April 25 for the 60th Annual Dogwood Festival Parade and see us in our Live United shirts as we dazzle the crowds with our routine!
Where the Segways came from
An important thing to note: The organization didn't buy the Segways. They have a partnership with their local Segway dealer, who loans them the personal vehicles for events at no cost.
This is GREAT!
I love how they're taking team-building exercises to a whole new level.
