Teachers Rock Nomination: Monica L. Cawley
I would like to nominate a very good teacher, one who always goes out of her way to teach and motivate her students. Her name is Monica L. Cawley. She currently teaches at the James E. Curley located on Center Street in Jamaica Plain, Ma. She started teaching about 15 years ago at the McKinley School which is geared towards children who have behavioral problems that stem from abusive parents, parents on substance abuse, and children who have witnessed traumatic violent crimes. Her devotion to her field has lead many children to prosper and grow in their studies. These children have advanced themselves to further their education by attending college and graduating with honors. Ms. Cawley now works with autistic children. She has been working with autistic children for two years. When times get hard she goes into her personal bank account and buys supplies necessary to fulfill the tasks required for the class she wants to teach. I applaud Ms. Cawley because she reaches the children that others have given up on. And for that I nominate her as a great teacher.
