Name of the teacher who rocks!: Julia Hoffman

School in which she/he teaches: South Shore Collabrative

Briefly, describe why: Julia has been teaching for the South Shore Collabrative for the past four years. Besides being a loyal teacher to the organization, her fellow staff members as well as her students, Julia has a heart made of gold. She only settles for what is best for her students and nothing else. She is dedicated to her work and leaves out no bit of effort to provide a safe and educational environment for the multiple levels of education she teaches each day. It makes perfect sense as to way Julia landed a teaching job straight out of college with a major in education and a minor in special education; her heart and soul are major attributes that amount to her profession.

Name of the teacher who rocks!: Julia Hoffman

School in which she/he teaches: South Shore Educational Collaborative.

Briefly, describe why: Julia is her 3rd year of teaching special education. Trained for elementary, she found her first job as an assistant then (in a few months) the lead teach of middle school children from diverse backgrounds as well as having special needs. It was a challenge to say the least. Julia persevered and feels in love with the children. She has to work hard on her own special needs. But in that found a true love, affection and ability to connect with the children. She is fun and creative and flexible. She uses her years of teaching young children skiing and sailing to engage and focus her current gangs. Julia is a ”true” teacher and any child (and their parents) who has the opportunity to wok with her will have many rewards.

Briefly, describe why: Julia is a middle school special education teacher. She is truly passionate and caring towards her students and their needs. You may find her on the kickball field, teaching a history lesson or guiding her students through a crowded hallway. Julia teaches her kids respect for others and themselves. At the end of a long day they may have learned a little about academics and a lot about elationships and life skills. Ms. Hoffman is a teacher who rocks!

Name of the teacher who rocks! Julia Ann Hoffman
School in which she/he teaches: South Shore Collaborative
Briefly, describe why: Julia is a middle school special Ed. teacher who is truly sensitive to her students needs. Each day she gives them more than 100% of her energy, compassion and understanding. She teaches them respect for others but more importantly for themselves. My favorite part about her teaching style is her sense of humor and the constant sparkle in her eye. We should all have had a Junior High teach like her.
